Liquid facelifts are a patient-customized, precision technique that allows patients to look years younger by rejuvenating and revitalizing areas of the face that have lost volume as well as adding tone and definition to areas that may have lost it. Its nonsurgical approach makes it a great option for patients looking to get a stunning new lift without surgery.

Benefits of a Liquid Facelift

  • A liquid facelift is cheaper than a surgical facelift, produces more naturally presenting changes, has significantly less downtime and is less painful.
  • A liquid facelift diminishes the appearance of visible fine lines and wrinkles in the forehead (frown lines), smoothes smile lines, eliminates wrinkles around the mouth, improves the area around the eyes and gives particular attention to crow’s feet.
  • Liquid facelifts give more volume to the cheeks and return to a patient a more youthful and perky look.
  • A liquid facelift helps relax and soften the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.
  • A liquid facelift lifts, plumps, fills and smooths or re-contours the face.
  • Liquid facelifts allow a patient to combat aging without undergoing surgery.

What is a Liquid Facelift?

A liquid facelift is a cosmetic procedure that utilizes dermal fillers to plump up the skin. It reduces sagging and facial wrinkles, fills the cheeks if they look hollow or gaunt and tightens wrinkles around the forehead, eyes and lips. The patient is given injections of dermal fillers to restore the fullness and youth to their face.

How long does a liquid facelift last?

Results from a liquid facelift are long-lasting but not permanent. They tend to last between 6 to 8 months, and with certain filler types can last as long as 24 months.

The entire procedure is often started and completed in a single 30 - 60 minute session, with a possible follow up visit to ensure all is settling well. Because it can be completed so rapidly, it is often referred to as the “lunchtime lift.”

The patient and practitioner also have a range of dermal fillers to choose from, each with their own specialties. For example, patients will see immediate results from hyaluronic acid fillers, while for Poly-L-lactic fillers, the injections are spread out over a series of visits and results will come in over a short time and then last as long as 24 months.

Lip Filler Options

Some patients have developed a liking for or are more comfortable with a particular dermal filler product. Thankfully, the composition remains fairly consistent among brands and, in the hands of an experienced injector, all produce great results.

Am I a Candidate for a Liquid Facelift?

Liquid facelifts are ideal for patients looking for a noticeable lift, but who do not want to undergo surgery. Most people are great candidates for the procedure, while the ideal patient will have relatively few wrinkles and a small to moderate amount of sagging skin.

What is the Recovery Time After a Liquid Facelift?

Unlike a traditional facelift, there is almost no recovery time required after a liquid facelift. A few hours after the procedure, you should be able to continue your normal routine and be back to work the following day. Patients typically experience minor swelling right after the procedure, which should calm down within a few hours.

Are There Any Side Effects?

The liquid facelift is typically done under local anesthesia or nerve blocks, so extreme pain is unlikely. Patients should expect mild pain and some swelling and redness after the procedure. The swelling and redness rapidly dissipate within 2-3 hours. Along the jawline, cheeks and nasolabial folds, patients are unlikely to experience significant bruising, while n the under eyes, bruises are more common.

Why should I choose Schwartz for my liquid facelift?

Because a liquid facelift is a patient-centric and customizable procedure, no two patients are treated the same way, rather, the exact approach depends on the dynamics of one’s face. Thus, while anyone can inject a needle, it takes an experienced eye and a proven practitioner to get the greatest outcome possible. Our aesthetic staff have a gentle, professional approach backed by years of training, certification and experience and have an unmatched aesthetic eye.
