Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing

Fractional laser resurfacing is a relatively new method of skin rejuvenation in which the targeted areas of the skin are precisely spaced out at a microscopic level, leaving some skin perfectly intact while other zones are treated.

BeforeAfter

The tiny spots of treated skin replace old, destroyed cells with new, healthy ones, and the untreated areas maintain the tissue’s stability for quicker recovery.

Using this approach, fractional laser skin resurfacing treatments can utilize the intense energy of older ablative or skin resurfacing lasers, while providing the greater safety and faster recovery.

Dr. Schwartz uses the Total FX treatment with the Lumenis Ultrapulse Carbon Dioxide laser. Dr. Schwartz had performed laser treatments for over 12 years, and his training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center included working with some of the worlds authorities on laser resurfacing.

The fractional resurfacing treatment can be performed in the office with topical anesthesia and oral medication for sedation, or it can be done in the operating room, either alone, or in combination with other facial procedures.
