The smooth consistency gel helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds — the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). Juvéderm™ is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid — a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. It provides a smooth, natural look and feel.
Juvederm treatments can last up to one year or longer depending on the area injected. The newest versions of these fillers include lidocaine and provide a much more comfortable treatment without the need for dental blocks.
Other Fillers:
In addition to Juvéderm™, there are also other fillers available for certain indications. Restylane is another hyaluronic acid filler that is useful for many of the same areas as Juvéderm™. It can be a firmer product in some areas. Radiesse is a calcium based product which is an excellent long lasting soft tissue filler. It can be used for filling soft tissue of the cheeks, hand rejuvenation, and correction of minor Rhinoplasty/nasal deformities. Prevelle silk is a thinner hyaluronic acid product. It is excellent in fine lines, lower eyelid hollows, and for last minute touch ups.
